Hey... I quit dA. Not completely because you know some amazing artists are here to watch. But I'm heading off to Blog Spot where you can see my art, sketches, animations, and dumb little updates

So yeah I'm loving college and I'm happy have a nice room mate and all. Lots of homework. A LOT of homework.
A loose idea for you guys in high school here it is. For my figure drawing class i needed a 100 page pad of Newsprint (newsprint is just cheap paper.) it's been one month and i used ALL of that paper. I did 2 or 3 drawings per page. Do the math. And I've used up 70 pages for my Drawing class with 2 pictures per page. Do the math. I've created more art in 1 month than my entire senior year of high school. This counts practices and full assignments. In my context figures class i can draw 40 pictures in a day. The teacher promised by the end of the year we'll have over a 1000 drawings in figure class alone.
That my friends, is art school. I hope i didn't scare you too much, College doesn't have any pesky Math or Science to distract you. And i can see improvement since the beginning of the month.
Moving on i have taken an ambitious personal project (as if i wasn't overworked already) to design my own tarot card deck. The tarot card hav two main parts the Major Arcana (22 cards) and the Minor Arcana (56 cards) and the Fool card that doesn't fit anywhere(total = 79 cards.) I think I'll only work on the Major Arcana for now but i do want to eventually have a full deck!
I'm doing some legit research too (checked out a book on them and everything) i want this to be nearly flawless. The symbols in these cards are very specific. Tarot Cards have a deep history and nowadays people just read the name and draw the first thing that comes to mind. Example "The Hanged Man" half of the people draw this as a depressing guy in a noose, the other half get it a right as a man suspended from the tree of life reaching enlightenment.

dA Version 7

Okay so my waiting list cleared and i will be attending the number one school for animation. No biggie (HUGE BIGGIE!)
Version 7. Everyone always complains about the new versions. Something else that always happens with the new version:I get more veiws, faves, etc... Usually this ends in a month but i will be enjoying. So people should quit complaining. dA we don't really care about page layouts that much, just clean up all your viruses.
Gotta pack my stuff for the move... bleh!
I don't know if you guys watch fringe but the recent episodes... MY GOD Abrams is some kind of genius.

I actually finished mre art that i put up but i might be too lazy to ever put them up sooooo sorry.
Interesting news, for a scholarship i'm getting into CONCEPT art! I haven't done concept art since that fairy and horrible mermaid. It's all for a scholarship so yeah i need some help. I might make a story (yeah there's a scholarship for that too) So the most recent one was this giant submarine, critique it or die! (no ii'm not in the mood to make threat)
As usually if you guys know any illustrating gigs, not me

Oh yeah downloaded the free trial of CS4. It's worth it.

Last year I missed the mud kips because people whined and moaned about their precious avatar. Not this year. This is hilarious! I mean i hate Twilight beyond belief but half naked guy as my avatar isn't bad... and at least i didn't get the ugly one from the movie... (Edward looks GROSS!) I knew those admin just picked things that people complained about! COMPLAINERS!
So today my mom came up to me with a big packet from the mail. And she told me it was from RINGLING! And you guys know what a packet from a college means right? That's right it means the packet was actually from GE adressed to my dad but she flipped it over so i would think i got accepted to Ringling... Bitterness aside, it was really funny, good one.
There was a severe marbles-sized hail here 10 minutes ago, no joke, but it was kind fun.
Oh yeah and I'm actually going to SCAD not SVA, i changed my mind, no joke
